DinkyCal J!
- Version: 1.6.0

- Tagline: Handy calender for managing your events.
Event calendars on a Joomla site tend to get heavier than the job needs: a full-blown events suite when all you want is a tidy list of dates, venues, a touring show with slightly different descriptions, and a migration path that breaks every link anyone ever bookmarked. DinkyCal a slim component to manage and show calendar entries, with categories, reusable venues, tours that group the same event across several dates, clean SEF URLs, and other goodies.

Features:
- Manage events with start and end dates, optional times, categories, an image, a description and a link, and flag them with a notice badge.
- Keep a shared pool of venues with an address and a map preview: entered once, reused often; spot duplicates and merge them without losing a single event.
- Group the same event on several dates into a tour: every date keeps its own venue and description, and the tour shows up as one unit in the list.
- Show the calendar your way: event list or category list as a menu item, with upcoming or past entries, search, month grouping, and other comon details.
- Place events anywhere with the module or the {dinkycal} content tag, and make them findable through a Smart Search plugin.
- Get readable SEF URLs from a proper router, with the event's alias and date in the link and a canonical URL against duplicates.
- Move data in and out: export to JSON or a ZIP with the images, to iCalendar for other calendar apps, and import it again, with a dry run first.
- The format is shared with the Wordpress sister extension DinkyCal WP, so a calendar can move between the two systems.
