DinkyGallery
- Version: 1.5.0
- Toolicon (SVG):
- Tagline: Lightweight image gallery with lightbox, no jQuery in tow.
- Released: Yes
If you are looking for a tiny plugin that turns a simple {gallery folder} shortcode into a thumbnail grid with a lightbox, this might be your choice. Here comes DinkyGallery: a small, dependency-free content plugin that reads the common {gallery} shortcode syntax and renders it as a touch-friendly, in-article card carousel with a click-through lightbox, no jQuery or third-party library required.

Features:
- Renders {gallery folder} shortcodes as an in-article, scroll-snap card carousel with a click-through lightbox.
- Zero third-party JavaScript: one hand-written stylesheet and one ES module, no jQuery/Swiper/GLightbox/Fancybox.
- Drop-in compatible with sigplus's classic {gallery}folder{/gallery} syntax, single-image galleries included; legacy display attributes are ignored gracefully rather than breaking the page.
- Cached, width-scaled thumbnails with a responsive srcset, generated on demand and pruned automatically when an image is replaced.
- Configurable card layout: number of visible cards, aspect ratio, minimum card width, gap between cards.
- Configurable lightbox: size, shape (viewport, a fixed ratio, or matched to each image), base colour, padding, backdrop opacity.
- Loop or stop at the ends, independently for the carousel arrows and the lightbox.
- Optional "click the middle to close" zone in the lightbox.
- Per-shortcode overrides for cards, size, loop, sort order, aspect ratio, gap and the middle-zone behaviour.
- Full keyboard navigation and ARIA labelling in the lightbox; honours prefers-reduced-motion.
- English and German language files included.
